There is a special moment in ice fishing. The moment after you have gotten up early, made your coffee, packed your gear in the truck, found your spot on the ice, drilled your holes, set up your shack, and started jigging your lure. It’s the moment when a fish strikes! You throw your hand up and set the hook on a nice fish. I personally consider this “the greatest moment in ice fishing” and the driving force behind the creation of IceStriker. The image itself gives me the goose bumps. What a rush of adrenaline. The payoff is well worth the time, money and effort put in. How cool is that moment? I simply can’t get over it and that is why this site exists.

My name is Bill Blavat and I have been an avid outdoorsman for many years. I created this site through the guidance of God, along with the help of my family and friends. I woke up one morning, after weeks of dragging my feet, and a voice said, “Just do it.” I loved the idea of this site, but was running into roadblocks that stopped me well short. However, that morning God motivated me to stop worrying about the details and pursue the potential.
